Trick or Treat?

Halloween is just around the corner, and Kuro-neko can't wait to find a pumpkin big enough for his Jack O Lantern. Hooray! Cheers little Kuro-neko. He managed to find one just behind his backyard, and he is ready for some Trick or Treat!

Gingerbread man charm

A few days back, someone posted a status in one of the crafter group I joined saying that they are requesting gingerbread man crafts to sell at their shop. Seeing it as an opportunity, I decided to give it a try and felted this little fellow :) Hope you guys like it too <3

Wolverine

After watching the movie, I'd decided to needle felt the character and challenge myself with a little more details, like the fingers and also the "adamantium clay" insertion. There is still a great deal to learn especially sculpting the face, the most important features to determine whether he looks fine. :) More practice definitely!

Lian and Senphyro

Needle felting is definitely an art of patience and endurance. It requires a lot of time just to sculpt a piece of wool into a shape. These are the most challenging pieces I received so far when the client requested to make his and his friend's mascot into the mini plush, and at the same time, a pair of each mascot.

It took me quite a while to sculpt them, but I do learn alot during the process, especially inserting the "feathers" and some of the details of the character.

Check them out :)

And also a sneak of the new packaging design :)

Little Bear's Big Adventure

In order to get away from the work life stress, it is always good to have a hobby. A few month back, I found out that my fingers are having a pretty bad allergic reactions towards the clay am using. Feeling rather depressed, I have to stop myself to get any contact with clay making.

During these few month, I had my first contact with needle felting. My brother is the first one to get into it and he introduced this pretty addictive art to me. All you need to do is to poke, sculpt and most of all, be patient. It could be pretty painful if you lost your focus and poked yourself instead. LOL.

After much trials and errors, here's the little bear which I think is presentable :)
